Blazer: Theory Gabe B in 00 (altered)
Shell: Ann Taylor Factory Ruffle Shell in Soft Pewter, in XXSP
Slacks: Express Stylist in 0 short (altered) from 2006
Shoes: Nine West Suede Pumps in 6M
Wallet: Gucci Continental
Belt: H&M
Yep, these Express pants are the infamous "$50 in alterations" that I've told my friends and a few fellow bloggers. It's unfortunate that I never took pre-tailoring pictures, as I had gotten it tailored before I started my blog. ;/
I'm still an amateur in photography as well as posing, so please bear with me as I stand or stare awkwardly. I also apologize for the glare, shadows, and sun rays in all the shots. ^^;; As much as I like stalking petite fashion blogs (yep, I admit to it!), I'm trying to develop my own natural set of expressions, so please look forward to them! :]
On another note, I was tagged by the fashionably petite Jessy in this post to post a baby picture. All my childhood photos are stowed away in various boxes, all of which I'm unable to locate as most of the boxes are taped and left unmarked. However, I did manage a picture of my preschool graduation when I was 5 years old:
Surprisingly, my dimple on my right cheek (left in this picture) was much larger when I was younger! I never noticed that until now. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!~
Oh u look so fabulous!!! Love everything about this outfit:)
ReplyDeletehaha you look adorable in that childhood photo. :p Love the huge bow on the front of your gown. LOL <3 And you look amazingggglyyy feminine in that blazer & pant set. It's the girly ruffles that really draw my eyes to it. Oh & I love your hair : ) I said this last time.. haha
ReplyDeleteAhhhh you're so cute!!!! That ruffle tank looks awesome on you too. Ummm...I got my first pair (ahem 3 pairs all at once) of skinny jeans this past August/September!!! If you're behind on trends then I guess I pick them up when they're on their way out ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jessy...you look so feminine in the blazer! You make the pants look well worth the $50 in alterations! I love the belt you chose for this outfit...it is a nice mix with the feminine ruffles.
ReplyDeleteI love the your graduation photo! Did you make your gown?
Hi there, thanks for the comments, I do live in Toronto, and I'm quite small, I'm quite small, almost 5'3 haha. I don't really look for petite clothing, most things in stores fit me for xs or 0, but I usually get my pants hemmed. :) Thanks for stopping by and nice blog!
ReplyDeleteChristina - I think this Theory blazer (plus alterations from dear Francesco - did I spell that right?) has turned out to be an amazing investment. You wear it a lot and it looks fabulous every time. The fit post-alterations is impeccable on you. I wanted to steal it...hehe!
ReplyDeleteI like how you styled your soft pewter ruffle shell with this sleek all black outfit.
Annie - thank you for the compliment! I'm flattered, coming from someone as coordinated and stylish as you. :D
ReplyDeleteJessy TLDP - hehe thank you! I'm been obsessed with black lately, but in truth I don't own that much clothes in black. ;P Hehe my hair wasn't always this way. I specifically requested my hairdresser to cut it this way two years ago, and I've stuck with this style!
curls-and-pearls - Thank you :) I figured it's alright because many trends have come and gone. Leggings and skinny jeans are from a past trend (as seen in Grease!).
Michelle - thank you. Basically, the gown is made of tissue paper that we staple together, and stabled a laminated bow in the middle!
ReplyDeleteSally - ooh you are very slim, but at a nice height. I envy your height! :)
Jean - thank you! The jacket has held up well considering how often I wear it. I love that I can just throw it on a very casual outfit to dress up a bit. I'm grate to you and the petite community for mentioned Theory. I've been searching for a great blazer for a long time! BTW his name is Francois, lol! :D
I'm late commenting on this one...but you look fantastic! I love the shell on you, and the soft pewter looks great against your black Theory blazer.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! That ruffled top is fab.
ReplyDeleteI love how everything fits perfectly on you! I have to admit that I fought hard against the skinny jeans trend. I'm old enough to remember wearing skinnies in middle/high school and being desperate to buy flares that were so "in" back then. But my Mom wouldn't let me, so I've always had a somewhat personal vendetta against skinnies lol... but I finally caved and started buying them last year too :)
ReplyDeletelove love love it!!!!
ReplyDeletegreat style
follow u now!
xoxo=P
Love this suit look on you - especially with that ruffled top! Gorgeous <3

ReplyDeleteI love this outfit on you! I'm also very new to the community. I even feel anxious about introducing myself to the rest of the ladies so I haven't yet! I'm glad I found your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteyou look really professional! i think everything fits great and the ruffles are nice. my AT seems to be always out of stock of good on sale ruffle shells xD

ReplyDeleteHey girl! I just ordered the Theory Gabe 2 blazer in 00 myself and am always worried about blazers fitting me right since I'm so petite like you - was it too big on you? How did you need to get it altered?
ReplyDeleteThank you!
